The Bell Tower will ring at 1:02 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, in memory of Zijie Yan, as the campus community is invited to observe a moment of silence.
A candlelight vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Polk Place in memory of Yan, an associate professor in applied physical sciences, who was killed in a tragic shooting on campus on Monday.
In the event of inclement weather, the memorial will be moved to the Dean E. Smith Center.
