Illustration by artist Will Black, who graduated from Carolina in 2011 with degrees in fine art and history. Since 2017, Black has worked as an administrative support specialist in the College of Arts & Sciences’ Dean’s Office. Black wanted this tribute to the Class of 2020 to reflect both the current pandemic situation — which forced students into a world of remote learning and virtual celebrations — and the joy of seniors’ amazing accomplishments as Tar Heels.
