Wanting to alleviate the stress of the college admissions process, Emily Madrzykowski had dreams of becoming a tour guide even before becoming a Tar Heel. Now an admissions ambassador, she guides prospective students through campus, sharing the Carolina story along the way.

Emily Madrzykowski knew she wanted to be a campus tour guide since she was a high schooler.
“I know how stressful the college admissions process was in choosing a college, and I felt like if a tour guide is very relatable, they can alleviate a lot of that stress,” she said.
Now a Carolina student studying English and comparative literature in the College of Arts & Sciences, Madrzykowski is taking on that role as an admissions ambassador, guiding prospective students through campus and sharing the Carolina story along the way.
