Join UNC Global’s Diplomacy Initiative for a week filled with engaging lectures and discussions featuring notable speakers and accomplished Carolina alumni working in international affairs.

This year’s headline event features a discussion with the former ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, on April 21 at 5:15 p.m. at the FedEx Global Education Center. After the ambassador’s talk, the winners of the inaugural Faculty Awards for Global Excellence will be announced.

This semester, hundreds of Carolina students stepped into the shoes of White House staffers and leading policy analysts to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the United States and world by preparing informative, concise and visually appealing policy briefs in the 2022 UNC Policy Brief Competition, supported by the Diplomacy Initiative.

On April 22, there will be an awards ceremony featuring remarks by each of the competition winners and the three Carolina alumni working in international affairs who served as judges. Each student winner will be presented with a certificate and an award of $500.
