Dear students,
Finals are now done, and many of you are no doubt already off to your summer break destination — whether it’s returning home or off to an internship, travel, a summer job or perhaps research in the field. I hope you are proud of the hard work that got you to this point — congratulations!
To our graduating seniors and to our master’s and doctoral students completing your degrees, I look forward to seeing you in Kenan Stadium on Sunday for Spring Commencement or the doctoral hooding ceremony the day before in the Dean Smith Center. Take time to savor the ritual and the experience; the day will be a cherished memory.
For those of you staying in Chapel Hill this summer, perhaps taking Maymester or summer courses, I encourage you to lean in and savor the quieter campus atmosphere.
Regardless of what the summer holds for you, please be safe, take time for yourself and schedule some downtime with friends and family. I look forward to seeing you in August, revitalized and ready for a new Carolina chapter.
Go Heels,
Jim
