Broadway writer brings new comedy to PlayMakers

Fresh off the debut of her musical adaptation of “The Notebook,” Bekah Brunstetter ’04 will debut “The Game” in Chapel Hill. PlayMakers is the professional theater-in-residence in the department of dramatic art in UNC’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Victoria Rovine named next director of Carolina Public Humanities

Victoria Rovine, professor of art history, has been named the next director of Carolina Public Humanities. She begins her new role on July 1. Rovine succeeds Lloyd Kramer, who has been director of CPH since 2014.


Weiss Fellow Zari Taylor awarded fellowships to teach and continue studies at NYU

Zari Taylor, The Graduate School’s senior fellow for the Weiss Urban Livability Program, will receive her Ph.D. from the department of communication in May. She will be returning home to New York City to join NYU in the fall.
