The Wall Street Journal spoke with Richard Kohn, a professor emeritus of history about Congress moving closer to requiring women to register for the draft for the first time in American history. Kohn said: “Extending the draft to women is a very powerful and necessary message of general equality in society that women have sought from our revolutionary times.”
