The College of Arts and Sciences’ departments and global centers are particularly strong in teaching “less commonly taught languages.”

The University-wide project sent elementary school teachers to Senegal and Ghana to create digital lesson plans.

The African Studies Center has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Oak Foundation for their project, “K-5 digital learning of contemporary Africa using technology,” which will produce resources for elementary school educators.
