Campus leaders and Carolina’s ROTC celebrated the unveiling of the National Register of Historic Places marker on Nov. 15.

Lt. Col. Brie Vihlen’s Air Force service has taken her to Afghanistan, the United Kingdom, bases throughout the United States and ultimately to commanding Carolina’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 590.

Sunita Agarwala is making the most of resources at both UNC-Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University through the joint department of biomedical engineering.

The sophomores will become the first UNC-Chapel Hill AFROTC cadets to commission into the U.S. Space Force upon their graduation in 2025.
