Courtney Halverson ’21 has been selected as a 2024 fellow for the prestigious Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program. The Rangel Fellowship identifies and develops outstanding young professionals to enhance the excellence and diversity of the U.S. Foreign Service.
The prestigious award fully funds a master’s program in global affairs at Beijing’s Tsinghua University.
Truman Scholars receive up to $30,000 for graduate or professional school, participate in leadership development activities, and have special opportunities for internships and employment with the federal government.
The fellowship supports graduate study for students who are either immigrants or children of immigrants who demonstrate creativity, originality, initiative and sustained accomplishment.
Peter Andringa and Sarah Mackenzie are Carolina’s 50th and 51st Rhodes Scholars. The world’s oldest international fellowship award, the Rhodes Scholarship funds study at the University of Oxford in England.
