The department of music’s David Garcia has been contributing to research at Carolina for 20 years.

Bob Pleasants in the Office for Undergraduate Research has been contributing to research at Carolina for 14 years.

György “Hínár” Schrader Polczer has worked for UNC-Chapel Hill for 22 years as a technology support analyst for the Department of Biology within the UNC College of Arts and Sciences.

María DeGuzmán, the Eugene H. Falk Distinguished Professor of English & Comparative Literature and the founding director of the UNC Latina/o Studies Program, has been contributing to research at UNC for 24 years.

Karla Slocum has worked for UNC-Chapel Hill for 27 years in a variety of roles, most recently as senior associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for the UNC College of Arts and Sciences. She is also a professor of anthropology and the Thomas Willis Lambeth Distinguished Chair in Public Policy.

Mike Piehler has been contributing to research at Carolina for 25 years. He was recently featured in the Office of UNC Research’s feature “Rooted.”
