Artists debut new works about Black culture and history while scholars like Naomi André rediscover pieces long hidden in segregation’s shadows.
The initiative will produce new works, collaborations and research on social justice and racial equity in the American South with musician Rhiannon Giddens. Southern Futures is a collaborative initiative of the College, University Libraries, Carolina Performing Arts and The Center for the Study of the American South.
Recognizing the power and potential of storytelling in its many forms at this pivotal moment in American culture and politics, the Process Series will present a Storytelling Festival.
