Nicolas Pégard and Pedro Sáenz, faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences, have been awarded 2023 Sloan Research Fellowships, among the most prestigious awards given to early-career scientists.
The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has announced that Carl Rodriguez, who will join UNC’s department of physics and astronomy in January 2023, is one of 20 recipients of the 2022 Packard Fellowships for Science and Engineering.
Frank Leibfarth, assistant professor of chemistry in UNC’s College of Arts & Sciences, has won two prestigious awards for early-career scientists. In only one week, he has been awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and a Cottrell Scholar Award for 2020.
