Carolina ranks 9th in U.S. for study abroad participation

UNC-Chapel Hill ranked ninth among universities in the U.S. for study abroad participation, according to the Open Doors 2024 Report on International Educational Exchange. This is the University’s highest ranking in nearly 20 years.

UNC sets new record of Gilman Scholars

Twenty-one UNC-Chapel Hill students received the U.S. Department of State’s Gilman International Scholarship for study abroad this summer and fall. The number of awardees is a new record for Carolina, three times higher than the usual count of recipients in an award cycle compared to pre-pandemic numbers.

Farmer named 2023 Charles B. Rangel Fellow

Tatiana Farmer ’20 has been selected as a 2023 fellow for the prestigious Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program. She will begin her multi-year fellowship this summer as an intern in Washington, D.C. working with members of Congress on international issues.
