Elias Gross: Rediscovering the viola

Elias Gross, ​​third-year graduate student, started playing viola at the age of 11. Music has kept a strong and meaningful place in his life and shaped him into the person here today.

Forging connections with veterans through literature

English faculty member Hilary Lithgow has led a North Carolina Humanities’ Veterans Reading Group for over five years, building relationships among group participants and reaching across political, social and generational divides.

Rollover

An upcoming performance set on fictional Rollover Island fuses science and art to show the effects of climate change on one coastal community. The Process Series presents a staged reading of the play March 24-25.

The literary event was part of the Frank B. Hanes Writer-in-Residence Program, which brought the acclaimed short-story writer to campus to visit classes and give readings and talks.
